## What this funds

The BEAD program ensures broadband availability across all 50 states and 6 territories of the United States by subsidizing broadband projects in "unserved" and "underserved" residential and commercial locations. NTIA, at the direction of the Secretary, implemented targeted reforms to eliminate burdensome extralegal requirements, increase competition in the program, speed access to deployment, and restore the program to its statutory mission.
