The FY2027 President's Budget requests — for Innovation Fund Admin, within Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration account.
Commerce discretionary budget authority
From the OMB Public Budget Database — clean, summable, and the figure to cite for an agency total. It is the whole of Commerce's discretionary request, not a total of the parsed lines above, and this page never adds the two together.
What this funds
In FY 2026, NTIA will monitor previously awarded grants through post-award oversight and prepare for additional grant awards. In FY 2027, NTIA will continue to perform post-award oversight responsibilities. NTIA will award the remaining available grant funds in FY 2027 under a fourth Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to accelerate the development and deployment of an AI-Native network fabric for RAN. NTIA will also provide technical assistance to help recipients navigate through technical challenges and federal grants administration requirements.
Extracted from National Telecommunications and Information Administration, p. 144. Verbatim; nothing here is paraphrased.
