The Administration has made the necessary tradeoffs and choices inherent in pursuing these goals. This means changing the role and size of the Federal Government and prioritizing the programs that provide a good return for the taxpayer, as well as those that serve the most critical functions while consolidating or eliminating duplicative, ineffective, or less critical programs. In support of these goals, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) FY 2027 budget requests $20 million to cover the costs associated with closing down the agency and restoring confidence in America's fiscal management.
