What this funds

The Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program has awarded up to $2.940 billion in grants to eligible entities, which include a Tribal Government, a Tribal College or University, the Department of Hawaiian Homelands on behalf of the Native Hawaiian Community, including Native Hawaiian Education Programs, a Tribal organization, or a Native Corporation. These funds will be used for the deployment and adoption of broadband service on Tribal land. This includes $980 million from the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, and $1.96 billion from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
