Airframes and Sensors End Items - Investment Integrated Operations Assets and Infrastructure End Items include funding for the development, procurement, and deployment of multiple technologies and assets for AMO. This includes the following investments: ' Persistent Wide Area Air Surveillance (PWAAS): The FY 2027 Budget funds $30.0M for five PWAAS sensor sites to expand C-UAS and air domain awareness capabilities. Currently, CBP has three operational sites and is procuring five more through the Working Families Tax Cut Act (Pub. Law 119-21), working toward a goal of establishing 58 sites along the Southern Border. This investment strengthens DHS's ability to detect, track, identify, and classify suspicious small dark targets and general aviation threats, denying cartels undetected and unrestricted access to U.S. border airspace for illicit smuggling and migration activities.
