## What this funds

The Trade and Travel Assets and Infrastructure PPA provides funding for the technology and assets needed to conduct the Trade and Travel mission. CBP uses the resources of this PPA to procure tools and technology that are critical to the mitigation of threats from terrorists and to the prevention of contraband from entering the United States, while facilitating the legal flow of people and trade. This includes integrated screening, scanning, and transaction processing systems to enhance the interception of potential threats before they can cause harm while expediting legal trade and travel. This PPA is comprised of the following investments/activities: Automated Commercial Environment (ACE): A comprehensive system that enables CBP to manage import and export data, enforcement systems, and cargo-related financial processes. This next-generation initiative will establish the United States as a global leader in the international exchange of trade data through modernized business practices. ACE improves CBP's ability to identify high-risk imports, increase supply chain transparency, verify compliance, and ensure accurate revenue taxes, duties and tariff collections. Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Systems Program: Includes Large Scale systems that enable CBPOs and Border Patrol Agents to examine large volumes of traffic quickly and effectively at U.S. POEs and border crossings. Small Scale systems procurements, as well as the sustainment of all NII, are funded within CBP's Operations and Support appropriation. The FY 2027 Budget does not include any funding for this investment. Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS): C-UAS equipment and technologies--such as Radio Frequency detect and defeat systems, radars, and cameras--all CBP to strengthen priority POEs to better detect, identify, track, monitor, and mitigate nefarious drone activity. Drones threaten Procurement, Construction, and Improvements Trade and Travel Assets and Infrastructure - PPA border security by enabling smuggling, disrupting operations, and endangering personnel and infrastructure. C-UAS technologies allow law enforcement to neutralize unauthorized drones before they pose a threat, helping safeguard critical infrastructure, maintain efficient port operations, Trade and Travel Assets and Infrastructure End Items: Includes multiple technologies and assets that mitigate threats from terrorists and prevent contraband from entering the country.
