Budget Activities: The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) General Gift Fund is authorized under 10 U.S.C. ' 2601, which provisions for such funds within the Department of War and the USCG. The General Gift Fund authorizes the Commandant of the Coast Guard to accept gifts and donations for the benefit of museums, chapels, and other organizations under the USCG's jurisdiction. The USCG can also accept gifts to benefit service members who are wounded, injured, or taken ill while in the line of duty, as well as those members' dependents and survivors. Budget Summary: The FY 2027 Budget estimates $2.9M in requests from various sources to the General Gift Fund. Budget Activities: The USCG Yard, located in Curtis Bay, MD, provides engineering support and industrial services to maintain and repair USCG cutters, aids to navigation, and other equipment. The USCG Yard also manages facilities that homeport USCG cutters and house several USCG commands, including the Surface Forces Logistics Center, Sector Maryland-National Capitol Region, and Station Curtis Bay.
