## What this funds

The FY 2027 Budget includes $10.5B, 21,828 positions, and 21,799 full-time equivalents (FTE) for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This funding will allow ICE to effectively carry out ICE's operational mission. This funding, when combined with the funding provided by the Working Families Tax Cut Act (Pub. Law 119-21) will enable ICE to fully implement the President's immigration strategy to defend the homeland. ICE is the principal criminal investigative agency within the Department of Homeland Security, responsible for enforcing more than 400 Federal statutes with a focus on immigration enforcement, preventing terrorism, and combating the illegal movement of people and goods. ICE has employees deployed across all 50 States, U.S. territories, the District of Columbia, and in 55 countries. The FY 2027 Budget takes into consideration over $74 billion in resources provided through the Working Families Tax Cut Act to promote the President's vision for America's immigration system. The Budget provides funding to carry out ICE's law enforcement mission of protecting America through criminal investigations, enforcing immigration laws to preserve national security and public safety. The FY 2027 Budget reflects the Department's top priorities to strengthen national security through robust law enforcement across our entire mission, including securing our border and enforcing our immigration laws. The achievement of this goal hinges on the Department's dedicated law enforcement personnel, who are constantly asked to do more and whose retention is critical, especially as we seek to grow our staffing levels.
