## What this funds

This investment provides for the acquisition of long-range UAS (LR-UAS) and pre-acquisition activities to expand medium-range UAS (MR-UAS) capability from the NSC fleet to shore-based platforms and other cutter classes. The UAS program provides persistent airborne information, surveillance, and reconnaissance capability for USCG operations. The FY 2027 Budget supports procurement of additional LR-UAS capability and initiates program management activities to expand MR-UAS capability to shore-based platforms and additional cutter classes. Funding for Short-Range UAS activities is not included. The Working Families Tax Cut Act provided $266M for procurement and acquisition of long-range unmanned aircraft and base stations, equipment related to such aircraft and base stations, and program management for such aircraft and base stations. ' Release follow-on contract to industry. ' Initiate analysis of MR-UAS capability expansion across cutter classes and to shore-based platforms.
