' Implement Artificial Intelligence: In alignment with Executive Order 14179, PEIR will explore opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence for visualizing and analyzing mine safety and health data. ' MSHA Assistant for Compliance Information: PEIR will deploy an AI-driven chatbot on the agency website to reduce the time mining stakeholders spend navigating the site, thereby improving access to information and overall user satisfaction. ' MSHA Information Hub Expansion: MSHA will further develop a centralized resource for compliance assistance materials to help miners, operators, contractors, and other stakeholders quickly find answers to their most frequently asked questions. ' Data Modernization to Strengthen Cybersecurity: In alignment with Executive Order 14306, MSHA will migrate the MSHA Standardized Information System from the aging Ashburn Data Center to a secure cloud environment and strengthen cybersecurity protections for critical mine safety data. In FY 2025 PEIR deployed the following projects: ' Research and Data Analysis. PEIR established a robust data analytics framework, developing dynamic dashboards that provide real-time insights into mining safety and health metrics. This initiative enhanced public accessibility to MSHA's data, facilitating ' Mobile Accident and Illness Incident Dashboard: The development of a Mobile Application Accident and Illness Incident Dashboard was initiated, allowing users to easily explore miner occupational safety and health reporting information. This tool is aimed at improving miner awareness and safety practices. ' Data Analytics. PEIR established a robust data analytics framework, developing dynamic dashboards that provide real-time insights into mining safety and health metrics. This initiative enhanced public accessibility to MSHA's data, facilitating better ' Real-Time Data and Transparency.
