What this funds

In FY 2027, OSHA estimates that On-Site Consultation programs will conduct 22,106 visits, including 19,233 initial visits, 1,326 training and assistance visits, and 1,547 follow-up visits. In FY 2026, OSHA estimates that On-Site Consultation programs will conduct 22,557 visits, including 19,625 initial visits, 1,353 training and assistance visits, and 1,579 follow-up visits. OSHA On-Site Consultation programs conducted 22,199 visits in FY 2025. In FY 2027, On-Site Consultation programs will continue to recognize small businesses with exemplary safety and health programs in the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). OSHA estimates that there will be 1,012 businesses in SHARP in FY 2027. OSHA will also continue to evaluate the NCSP and the Safety and Health Program Assessment Worksheet, OSHA Form 33 Revision Project. In FY 2026, OSHA estimates that there will be 1,032 businesses in SHARP. In this fiscal year, OSHA will continue collaborating with DOL's Chief Evaluation Office (CEO) on the NCSP Evaluation Project to complete an Impact Study of NCSP. The Impact Study will assess the effects of the NCSP on participating small business contractors in the construction industry, in comparison to a subset of non-participating small business contractors in the same industry. The purpose is to determine if the NCSP is achieving its intended overarching goal of reducing or eliminating employees' exposures to potential hazards, incidents, injuries, and fatalities. Small business employees represent the highest rates of injuries and fatalities in the construction industry.
