What this funds

OSHA will continue to build upon the realignment of the OSHA Technical Center (OTC) through the Technical Support Equipment (TSE) Standardization Project, which seeks to reduce technical equipment procurement, servicing, and training resource requirements by standardizing the technical support equipment and utilizing a new data-driven and scalable procurement plan to more efficiently manage OSHA's equipment inventory. OSHA will also continue the long-term maintenance and operations of the recently modernized laboratory information management system (LIMS), which has enabled numerous technical and efficiency improvement projects. In addition, OSHA will continue to implement technical support programs critical to the Agency's mission essential functions, workers, and employers. These programs include the OSHA Medical Examination Program (OMEP), the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) Program, the Variance Program, OSHA's internal safety and health program, and administering the Federal Docket Management System in support of the Regulatory Agenda for In FY 2026, OSHA will continue to develop and maintain guidance resources and technical information products to help employers address a variety of physical, chemical, biological, and radiological hazards. OSHA will continue to implement the technical support programs mentioned above, such as the NRTL Program, the Variance Program, OSHA's internal safety OSHA will also continue the Technical Support Equipment (TSE) Standardization Project to benefit from a modernized laboratory. In addition, the agency will finalize the major development milestones in the Laboratory Modernization Project and transition from In FY 2025, OSHA provided expert assistance in a variety of technical support functions for enforcement and compliance assistance operations. It convened and conducted training for OSHA and State Plan personnel involved in emergency preparedness and response activities for increased coordination in protecting workers during emergency operations. The agency also enhanced implementation of the National Response Framework, the National Contingency Plan, and other interagency response and recovery policies and plans, so that worker safety and health remain a top priority during emergency preparedness and response.
