## What project 1265 buys

Project 1265 SubTDS The first effort of the overall SubTDS program focuses on delivering full ICL functionality to all submarines in the fleet via the ADC MK5 effort. The ADC MK5 incorporates new adaptive technologies in a three-inch diameter form factor and will evolve through software/hardware upgrades, improved mobility, combat control system integration via ICL, and enhanced functionality to counter advancing torpedo threats. ADC MK6 effort focuses on developing an ECL hosted 6-inch acoustic countermeasure to supersede the ADC MK3. PMS415 STEB effort is limited to the development of changes to the ICL, specifically the breech door, to provide a stand-alone power and communications capability to the payload through the ICL via a TEMPALT, with funding ending in FY 2026.

**R-3 lines of work:** Product Development; Test and Evaluation; Management Services.

### Submarine Tethered Expendable Bouy

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** Funding decrease from FY 2026 to FY 2027 by $0.555M due to scope of work completion for STEB in FY 2026.

**FY2026 plans — current year.** - Continue efforts to design, prototype, and qualify the ICL breech door that enables pre/post-launch connectivity with a STEB.
