> **NEW START.** $580.3M requested in FY2027 with no prior-year and no current-year funding.

## Summary

This activity requests $580.3M in FY2027, 100% of project 001 — a new start with no prior-year and no current-year money. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** JIATF 401 will pursue the acceleration of a layered defeat portfolio, including options to ensure the protection of critical assets across diverse operational environments. Our approach is system-agnostic, focused on identifying and integrating the most effective capabilities to meet operational needs by addressing each stage of the kill chain, rather than committing to specific platforms or vendors. To maintain tactical overmatch against evolving threats, FY 2027 funding will focus on the following areas: Rapid Development & Acceleration – Supports the rapid development of C-sUAS defeat options to ensure protection across diverse operational environments. Advanced Tech Assessments - Supports the rapid operational assessment of commercial technologies and the "lab-to-field" pipeline. Critical for testing C-sUAS systems against emerging threats prior to procurement. Tactical C2 & Architecture Integration - Supports the software development and systems engineering required to establish common air domain awareness. Supports the system-agnostic integration of advanced decision aids. Common Testing, Demonstrations & Joint Exercises - Supports DoW-wide C-sUAS exercises, testing, and demonstrations of emerging prototypes, integration of sensors, common tactical C2, and effectors to ensure seamless, accelerated reaction times across the entire kill chain. Leverages commercially available, system-agnostic technologies and advanced decision aids to validate mission-ready capabilities against emerging threats. Supports executing large-scale exercises to ensure C-sUAS solutions are fully interoperable across DoW components and established common air domain architectures. Funds will be executed on JIATF 401 priorities and emerging trends.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** Increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 reflects the additional resourcing by the DoW to support the establishment of the JIATF 401.
