## Summary

This activity requests $11.4M in FY2027, 13% of project 1355, up 30% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** Perform engineering analysis, design and test efforts to address identified deficiencies and safety readiness and cost and reliability drivers on the T408 propulsion and power system components including the compressor, combustor, turbines, control and diagnostic systems, static structures, gearboxes, bearings, seals, drives, fuel and lubrication systems, auxiliary power and electrical power systems and main and tail rotor drive systems to improve safety, reliability, maintainability, affordability, durability. Perform analysis and testing to develop improvements to compression system stability and operability and improve sand ingestion tolerance. Perform uninstalled engine environmental endurance testing to demonstrate durability improvements.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** Increase of $2.667M from FY2026 to FY2027 due to increased planned projects for T408.

## Before the request year

**FY2026 plans — current year.** Perform engineering analysis, design and test efforts to address identified deficiencies and safety readiness and cost and reliability drivers on the T408 propulsion and power system components including the compressor, combustor, turbines, control and diagnostic systems, static structures, gearboxes, bearings, seals, drives, fuel and lubrication systems, auxiliary power and electrical power systems and main and tail rotor drive systems to improve safety, reliability, maintainability, affordability, durability. Perform analysis and testing to develop improvements to compression system stability and operability and improve sand ingestion tolerance. Perform uninstalled engine environmental endurance testing to demonstrate durability improvements.
