What the FY2027 request buys
Verbatim from the R-2A exhibit for project 2268 of PE 0206625M. This is the budget justification's own description of work that has not happened yet — the one thing no other level of the budget carries.
-Continue the development of cloud services migration; workflow automation; Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/MIL) data analysis capabilities and technology advancements. -Continue development of modernization efforts, sustainment of existing capabilities, as well as system refreshes for all of Marine Corps All Source. This includes server capabilities that are utilized by other PoRs. -Continue product improvements for hardware and software necessary for us by All-Source analyst across the MCISRE (MARFORs to tactical edge) for use both in garrison and tactical environments to support all-source workflow automation, and algorithm-based technologies.
Project 2268 transition from LI/PE 0305208M to 0206625M. $7.386M transferred over from PE 0305208M. Increase reflects additional funding for product development for Autonomous Multi-domain Sensor Control.
Three years, and no five-year plan
An R-2A activity publishes the prior year, the current year and the budget year. The FYDP outyears exist at project and program-element level and are deliberately absent here rather than inferred. Estimate types are colored and never summed into one figure.
| Fiscal Year | Estimate Type | Amount ($M) |
|---|---|---|
| FY2025 | Actual | 0.0 |
| FY2026 | Enacted | 0.0 |
| FY2027 | Request | 17.7 |
This activity is 16% of project 2268's FY2027 request and 12% of PE 0206625M's. In the request year the activities under a project sum to it exactly; in the current year they under-cover it in about 9% of cases, so an activity's delta can legitimately exceed its parent's and the two must not be compared row to row.
