U.S. Air Force funding ramps 261% to a $48.9M request in FY2027 — the program's peak, before stepping down 74% across the five-year plan. In the FY2027 defense authorization, the House cut 10.0% (to $44.0M); the Senate funded it in full; House appropriators funded it in full. Chicken Little leads the industry work.

### Project 674550 — Air Base Resiliency

Tactical Deception (Tac-D) is a Service program to provide a suite of technologies that will enable the USAF to minimize, distort, or create signatures. This includes technologies to confuse or mislead all major categories of adversary sensors. These capabilities can reduce confidence in adversary assessments, exhaust intelligence enterprises, and disrupt targeting cycles. In addition, these technologies and tactics techniques and procedures (TTPs) can be employed across the competition continuum for deterrence or advantage in conflict. Tac-D, Counter- Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C-ISR) also supports all activities and costs needed to support the Air Force to further these types of development projects, as well as required program support costs (PSC). This program element included all necessary expenses required to manage, execute, and deliver weapon system capability. The use of such program funds would be in addition to the civilian pay expenses budgeted in program elements 0605829F, 0605831F, 0605833F, and 0605898F. This program is in Budget Activity 7, Operational System Development because this budget activity includes development efforts to upgrade systems that have been fielded or have received approval for full rate production and anticipate production funding in the current or subsequent fiscal year.

These capabilities can reduce confidence in adversary assessments, exhaust intelligence enterprises, and disrupt targeting cycles. In addition, these technologies and tactics techniques and procedures (TTPs) can be employed across the competition continuum for deterrence or advantage in conflict.

In FY2027 Tactical Deception will continue working to mature & validate technologies in order to transition to Program of Record.
