What the FY2027 request buys
Verbatim from the R-2A exhibit for project 640019 of PE 0305913F. This is the budget justification's own description of work that has not happened yet — the one thing no other level of the budget carries.
Effort will establish a cloud-based production environment, data pipeline and data fabric established in production environment. Produce ML Operational capability in the Test environment for future transition to production. Connect and integrate external reporting tools for validation. For Minimal Viable Product (MVP) delivers capabilities for manual processing and dissemination. For Minimum Viable Capability Release (MVCR) delivers a scalable capability for automated data collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination of multiple sensors, covering multiple locations. Transition to Ops (TTO) will provide an operations team to perform near real-time analysis on data streams and disseminate results.
The FY2026 President's Budget submittal did not reflect the FY2027 through FY2030 funding. Therefore, an explanation of the changes between the two budget positions for FY2027 cannot be made in a relevant manner.
Three years, and no five-year plan
An R-2A activity publishes the prior year, the current year and the budget year. The FYDP outyears exist at project and program-element level and are deliberately absent here rather than inferred. Estimate types are colored and never summed into one figure.
| Fiscal Year | Estimate Type | Amount ($M) |
|---|---|---|
| FY2026 | Enacted | 0.0 |
| FY2027 | Request | 29.3 |
This activity is 100% of project 640019's FY2027 request and 100% of PE 0305913F's. In the request year the activities under a project sum to it exactly; in the current year they under-cover it in about 9% of cases, so an activity's delta can legitimately exceed its parent's and the two must not be compared row to row.
