The Naval STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) research area proactively addresses a variety of naval, and national, security issues by fostering and cultivating a world-class workforce as necessary to maintain the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps technological superiority. The Naval STEM research area supports strategic opportunities that inspire, engage, educate, employ, develop, and retain the current and future workforce through a portfolio of research and initiatives. Naval STEM initiatives are coordinated across the Naval Research Enterprise (NRE) to provide critical skills and career opportunity awareness.
