## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** - Investigate new concepts in combined quantum sensing with quantum networking. - Explore hardware interconnectivity between heterogeneous qubit platforms. - Evaluate heterogeneous quantum architectures for relevant use cases. - Initiate design activities for manufacturable quantum sensors.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** The FY 2027 increase reflects studies and concepts initiations including, but not limited to, applied research to ensure quantum information dominance in the areas of quantum sensing and networking, and quantum sensor manufacturability.
