## What project MN6 buys

This project will inform a) accurate injury and survivability criteria against selected emerging blast and terminal ballistic effects in different environment platforms, b) technologies and strategies to provide actionable information to unit leader/Soldier about hazardous exposure , and innovative mitigation solutions against emerging threats in military operations. This capability will inform force health protection criteria and injury severity risk that can help prevent degradation to Soldier cognitive readiness and performance and enhance combat power. The cited research is fully coordinated with PE 0602143A (Soldier Lethality Technology) and complimentary to PE 0603118A (Soldier Lethality Advanced Technology) and is fully coordinated with other Services in order to avoid duplication of effort. Research in this project is performed by the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), Fort Detrick, MD.
