> **NEW START.** $14.3M requested in FY2027 with no prior-year and no current-year funding.

## Summary

This activity requests $14.3M in FY2027, 26% of project BC1 — a new start with no prior-year and no current-year money. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** Will mature training, simulation, and operational capabilities by optimizing and integrating cutting-edge technologies across multiple domains. Will validate and demonstrate Spatial Phase Imaging (SPI) sensors for real-time 3D object identification, target recognition, and direct fire engagements during simulated exercises. Cyberspace data models and brokering architectures will be integrated into programs like Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE), and Intelligence Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT), while dynamic behavior algorithms and hardware acceleration architectures will be matured for large-scale training exercises. Additionally, the effort will validate Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) profiles, authoring tools, and user interfaces aligned to Knowledge Skills Abilities Behaviors (KSABs), as well as simulating first-order effects in the information warfare domain. Synthetic terrain pipeline processes, tools, and software will be matured and demonstrated, along with operationalizing synthetic terrain databases and validating them against existing, non-synthetic datasets, supported by subject matter expertise. Additional maturation and validation will include developing physics-based algorithms for munitions effects, wireless data compression architectures, and scalable terrain solutions for live range environments to enable high-fidelity simulations. Prolonged care solutions for Army medical training will be optimized, including maturing and demonstrating consolidated physiology engines and haptic hardware to address extended austere environments and patient handoff scenarios.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** Funding increase reflects transfer to Program Element (PE) 0603118A (Soldier Lethality Advanced Technology) / Project BC1 (Human Performance Adv Tech for Mobility & Lethality) to streamline and optimize the Science and Technology (S&T) portfolio.
