**FY2027 planned work.** - Modernize physical security systems by replacing antiquated and expensive sensors with unacceptable false alarm rates that require a persistent personnel presence using artificial intelligence and machine learning to deter, detect, track, and assess threats - Develop counter uncrewed underwater vehicles using novel technology that provides early warning at long range and passive detection for localization and identification rather than relying on existing active and passive acoustic sensor technology - Invest in 5G technology to provide robust and cost-effective communications to support waterside security technology vice legacy technology - Update the Security Equipment Integration Working Group's Interface Control Documents to address future interoperability standards for physical security sensors and systems

**FY2026 plans — current year.** - Improve supply chain security by mitigating vulnerabilities using physical security equipment/technology to counter potential threats to organic industrial base facilities and ports receiving materials from suppliers and shipping assets the supply DoW Services and foreign partners around the globe - Mature All Domain Counter-Uncrewed Systems (C-UXS) by addressing the proliferation of uncrewed systems used by our adversaries by advancing C-UXS capabilities that change the risk calculus for the adversary (i.e., deterrence) and increase Joint Force survivability and resiliency against UXS - Access control to DoW ships and aircraft by vetting and screening personnel to biometrically screen individuals against the DoW Automated Biometric Identification System, to also collect/transmit the info used to process, track, and transport evacuees to safe havens - Modernize physical security systems by replacing antiquated and expensive sensors with unacceptable false alarm rates that require a persistent personnel presence with that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to not only to deter and detect but to also track and assess threats

**FY2025 accomplishments.** - Counter-Uncrewed Systems across All Domains: Detect, Track, Identify and Defeat uncrewed systems across all domains including air, land, surface & subsurface (Attribution, deterrence and swarms should be considered). - Advancements in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, as well as Countering AI/ML and Autonomy: Leverage advancements in AI/ML and develop systems to effectively counter emerging threats posed by adversarial use of AI and autonomous technologies. (Post Quantum encryption may also be considered) - Insider Threat Detection: Develop insider threat detection systems to detect, mitigate, and prevent unauthorized activities within organizational networks, enhancing security against internal risks. - Maritime Security (Surface & Subsurface): Maritime security, both surface and subsurface, centered on the need for advanced and integrated sensor networks capable of effectively detecting, tracking, identifying, and responding to evolving threats in vast and challenging maritime environments. - Detection Beyond Installation Perimeter: Develop advanced surveillance and sensor technologies to effectively monitor and detect potential threats in surrounding areas, ensuring wide-ranging security coverage beyond installation perimeters. - Intrusion Detection on Physical Security System: Improve network intrusion detection on physical security system networks to detect and prevent unauthorized access to a physical security systems or networks (i.e., invest in cybersecurity intrusion detection system (IDS), like a physical security IDS).
