What project 634927 buys
In FY 2027, within Program Element 0603211F/ Aerospace Technology Dev/Demo, all efforts and associated funding in this Project were transferred to 634920 / Flight Vehicle Tech Integration (now called Aerospace Systems Integration and Demonstration) to provide Congress with improved understanding and traceability of the discrete Aerospace Systems technology areas in Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), Air Force, Budget Activity (BA) 3. This project integrates and demonstrates advanced control technologies that improve the performance, reliability, safety, and survivability of existing and future, manned and unmanned, aerospace systems. Enhanced capabilities are enabled by control, automation, and system level integration of subsystems and systems such as propulsion, airframes, avionics, power & thermal management, weapons, C2, mission systems, and operator interfaces. Modeling and simulation, integration, and technology demonstrations in a near-operational environment reduce the risk and time required to transition technologies into existing and future aerospace systems.
Project 634927 funding, FY2025–FY2031
Prior years are actuals, the budget year is the request, and the outyears are the FYDP plan. Estimate types are colored and never summed into one figure. Projects carry the full five-year plan; the activities inside them stop at the budget year.
| Fiscal Year | Estimate Type | Amount ($M) |
|---|---|---|
| FY2025 | Actual | 8.7 |
| FY2026 | Enacted | 38.7 |
| FY2027 | Request | 0.0 |
| FY2028 | Outyear | 0.0 |
| FY2029 | Outyear | 0.0 |
| FY2030 | Outyear | 0.0 |

The R-2A exhibit — the only level of the budget that describes work that has not happened yet. Activities carry the prior, current and budget year only, no five-year plan. Coverage is partial across the corpus, so count activities, never total them.
