### DDG(X) Design and Analysis

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** FY 2026 to FY 2027 decreased in the amount of $51.594M due to the transition of DDG(X) efforts to BBG(X), PE 0603564N / PU 0413.

**FY2026 plans — current year.** FY 2026, all DDG(X) System Requirements Review (SRR) products will be updated to BBG(X) requirements as part of the transition from DDG(X) to BBG(X). In FY2026, BBG(X) Concept Design (CD) phase and SRR will be completed and entrance into the Preliminary Design (PD) phase. As part of CD and entering PD phased the following activities will be accomplished: 1) BBG(X) Baseline Concept Design, 2) build the BBG(X) design team leveraging the DDG(X) team, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the FFG-62 design team (Naval Architectures, Integrated Power Systems, etc. from Warfare Centers and contractor support), 3) Shipyard Distributed Construction Plans, and 4) continue and expand the risk reduction efforts 5) Establish digital engineering Hull form risk reduction completed a hull design representation model analysis and testing for resistance & powering and dynamic stability. Additionally, hull form risk reduction analysis and testing for seakeeping and secondary loads using a hull design representation model will continue into FY26. The hull design representation model tests are conducted to inform the ship baseline design and mitigate the risk of the new hull, which is identified as a critical system in accordance with sections 1034 and 131 of the FY 2020 NDAA and section 221 of the FY 2022 NDAA. Integrated Power System (IPS) risk reduction activities to satisfy sections 1034 and 131 of the FY 2020 NDAA and section 221 of the FY 2022 NDAA are being accomplished under PE 0603573N / PU 2471.
