**FY2027 planned work.** Light Rider - Initiate the Light Rider FNC by defining the requirements and an architecture to meet the program objectives for the Light Rider shipboard kill chain. - Initiate maturation of existing key Artificial Intelligence (AI) and autonomy algorithms, and identify and develop new algorithms that will enable the creation of the Light Rider kill chain per defined requirements. - Initiate maturation of a specialized data link required for the operation of the Light Rider kill chain. - Initiate lab-based and live fire experimentation events to iteratively mature system prototypes towards the final system requirements. - Initiate collaboration with the Acquisition Program Office partner for early planning in support of shipboard certification, Weapon System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB) review, and sustainment.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** The increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 is due to the selection of this FNC to initiate in FY 2027 due to promising technology maturation from applied research investments previously made in BA 02 in 0602750N. This is not a new start.

**FY2027 planned work.** Leaker Engagement with Autonomous Defenses at Extended Ranges (LEADER) - Initiate the definition of the requirements and architecture for the LEADER system, identifying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and autonomy algorithms that will enable improved efficacy of relevant shipboard weapons. - Initiate maturation of necessary AI and autonomy algorithms and rigorously verify their performance via lab-based testbeds and live fire experiments. - Initiate exploration into novel sensing technologies to further enhance weapon performance. - Initiate collaboration with the Acquisition Program Office partner for early planning in support of shipboard certification, Weapon System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB) review, and sustainment.

**FY2027 planned work.** Progressive, Assisted Decision-Making, Re-Planning and Execution for UxS (PADRE) - Continue requirements definition for mission autonomy to inform scalable, platform-agnostic UxS command-and-control (C2). - Continue development of C2 autonomy software to enable dynamic mission planning and execution across domains. - Continue operator-centered design efforts focused on Fleet mission-informed interfaces and enabling explainable AI for effective warfighter decision support during tactical missions. - Continue engagement with Fleet operators to shape intuitive user interfaces and validate Transfer of Tactical Control (TOTC) workflows.

**FY2026 plans — current year.** Crossbow - Complete software coding for the Maritime Dynamic Targeting (MDT) Battle Management Aid (BMA) to support prioritized kill chains. - Complete and document machine learning training data for dynamic weapons quality track custody algorithms within the MDT BMA. - Complete and conduct a demonstration of MDT BMA software with group of operators, who are representative of the end users.
