### Project 836 — Field Medical Systems Advanced Development

This project line is critical to equipping deployable forces with advanced medical systems that improve health outcomes, enhance operational effectiveness, and sustain Soldier readiness in the most challenging environments. By investing in engineering, manufacturing, and testing, the initiative ensures that lifesaving medical technologies are field-ready and capable of meeting the demands of modern warfare. Through innovation and collaboration, this effort strengthens the Army's ability to provide comprehensive medical support, ensuring the well-being and survivability of Soldiers while enhancing the overall effectiveness of battlefield operations. Products from this project will transition to PE 0604807A (Medical Materiel/Medical Biological Defense Equipment - Eng Dev) /Project 832 (Field Medical Systems Engineering Development). The Blast Overpressure Sensor System (BOSS) project will address tactical integration, product development, data management, medical record integration, operational testing and evaluation. The BOSS effort requires more in-depth tactical network integration in order to transfer data from the sensor to the data repository and eventually to the medical record.

### Project 808 — DoD Drug & Vacc Ad

Project funds will applied to strategically address future force requirements identified in concept documents and organizational structures. PM SMD leverages this funding to develop and integrate advanced medical solutions that enhance Warfighter survivability and operational effectiveness in support of Capability Program Executive Ground (Soldier Systems). These efforts ensure the Army remains equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies to meet the demands of modern and future combat environments. This Program Element represents a vital investment in the Army's medical modernization strategy, enabling the development and fielding of innovative medical solutions that align with the Army's readiness priorities and sustain the health and effectiveness of the force. These funds have transitioned from T2COM (AFC) into ASA(ALT) starting FY26. Requesting project 808 / DoD Drug & Vacc Ad funding to be merged into 836 / Field Medical Systems Advanced Development. This will benefit the development, testing, and evaluation of advanced medical technologies and systems that are nearing the transition from research and development to operational use. Our primary focus of utilizing this 6.4 funding is on refining prototypes, conducting system integration, and ensuring that medical solutions are ready for field deployment for US Army Forces.
