## Summary

This activity requests $159.3M in FY2027, 20% of project MD11, up 473% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** - Initiate development of high-fidelity Digital Wrapped Tactical Code models for AN/TPY-2 and SBX to support Missile Defense System element development and Warfighter Exercises and Training. - Procure updated hardware for high fidelity Hardware in the Loop models to meet increased performance required for advanced capabilities in SBX and AN/TPY-2. - Initiate Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) by creating initial models for radar simulations, SBX radar behavior, antenna mount, functional representation validation, and mitigating legacy document-centric systems to MBSE. - Initiate support for monthly containerized software deliveries. - Procure upgraded digital representation of UEWR assets to enable ground test and cybersecurity test activities.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** Increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 provides for: - Radar M&S development to include hardware acquisition for the Simulation Interface Units, Ground Based Radar Digitization Hardware-In-the-Loop testing representations (Qty 5), AN/TPY-2 Forward Based Mode, and SBX, enabling representation of assets in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) ground tests - Radar digital engineering integration efforts to include validation and verification of monthly containerized software in the cloud, enabling early development testing across the BMD. - Initiation of MBSE by creating initial models for radar simulations, SBX radar behavior, antenna mount, functional representation validation, and mitigating legacy document-centric systems to MBSE.
