## Summary

This activity requests $292.2M in FY2027, 54% of project MD30, up 1767% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** - Continue hybrid Cloud consolidation to Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability. - Continue deployment of Next-Generation Environment (NGE) to address future Missile Defense System-Next capabilities and increasing cloud requirements. - Expand hybrid Cloud support to address future Missile Defense System-Next capabilities and increasing cloud requirements. - Execute refresh EoL/EoS IT infrastructure for efficient and compliant delivery in support of Missile Defense System programs including Missile Defense System-Next. - Deploy the enterprise MBSE Platform and supporting digital infrastructure, including the GRA Repository, MBSE-in-the-Cloud, integrated toolchains, and model-centric analytics services. - Missile Defense System-Next Modeling and Simulation Office: -- Establish process to synchronize, integrate and execute Missile Defense System-Next M&S modernization efforts across all intended uses, leveraging M&S Best Practices and Modular Open System Architecture approach. -- Develop a common rubric to integrate existing tools with open-source solutions and external digital pipelines. Define M&S interfaces to ensure models are interoperable. -- Identify M&S gaps across Missile Defense System-Next System lifecycle and develop Missile Defense System-Next M&S roadmap to identify solutions. Initiate acquisition of new M&S tools. -- Identify opportunities to accelerate Missile Defense System-Next M&S products. - Continue IT consolidation activities.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** Increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 provides for additional connectivity upgrades, expansion of Next-Generation Environment platform, and EoL/EoS refresh of IT infrastructure for efficient and compliant support of Missile Defense System programs. Also, provides a foundational MBSE capability and digital platform to accelerate engineering transformation and provides for consolidation and centralized management of all M&S innovation across the Missile Defense System-Next lifecycle.

## Before the request year

**FY2026 plans — current year.** - Complete the MDIOC Special Use Space (SUS) to consolidate disparate above SECRET collateral facilities. - Execute refresh EoL/EoS IT infrastructure for efficient and compliant delivery in support of Missile Defense System programs including Missile Defense System-Next. - Implement Cloud FinOps capability.
