> **NEW START.** $93.9M requested in FY2027 with no prior-year and no current-year funding.

## Summary

This activity requests $93.9M in FY2027, 39% of project 3090 — a new start with no prior-year and no current-year money. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** Develop and execute comprehensive obsolescence mitigation strategies to address critical issues in major avionics components, while modernizing cockpit hardware and software to enhance functionality and ensure long-term system sustainability. VeCToR will replace flight-critical cockpit displays, resolve closed architecture constraints, and enhance modularity and capability in mission computer processing and display user interfaces. The upgrades will be compliant with MOSA, enabling future obsolescence and DMSMS tolerance, rapid integration of new software-based capabilities, and seamless communication with current and future aircraft databus interfaces. Additionally, a digital backbone infrastructure will be incorporated into the MV-22 to support the rapid fielding of future capabilities. Key components to be addressed include, but are not limited to, the Control Display Unit (CDU), CDU keyboard, Flight Director Panel, and Emergency Standby Flight Indicator (ESFI).

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** V-22 Cockpit Technology Refresh (VeCToR): Increase in FY 2027 is due to additional funding provided in support of comprehensive review recommendation to develop and implement V-22 mid-life upgrade efforts.
