## Summary

This activity requests $48.9M in FY2027, 13% of project 1447, down 36% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** AEGIS System Engineering: Continue to provide AEGIS System Engineering evaluation of AEGIS Combat System performance and development of the AEGIS Capability Phasing Plan to ensure that warfighter improvements are implemented through future Combat System upgrades to meet emerging threats. These efforts are focused on defining future capability upgrades to the AEGIS Combat System. Conduct System Engineering review for Future Warfighting improvements for AEGIS BL 9 and BL 10 Configurations to evaluate current gaps and external weapon element updates available to address and determine most effective way to complete integration. AEGIS Hardware Engineering: Continue to provide AEGIS COTS Obsolescence mitigation to include evaluation of systems currently delivered as well as those under development. These updates are focused on replacing high failure rate components in addition to monitoring and resolving obsolescence issues for all AEGIS hardware configurations. Hardware configurations include Q-70, TI-12H, MK 6 MOD 0, MK 6 MOD 1, and MK 6 MOD X. As part of COTS Obsolescence, updates TI-12H and MK-6 MOD 0 are required to implement fact of life Operating Environment changes with RHEL 6.5 being no longer supported, updates are required to implement RHEL 8.0 to ensure these hardware configurations can continue to be operated and support future Computer Program installations. AEGIS Land Based Test Sites: Investments to increase/modernize combat systems and facility infrastructure readiness at the Land Based Test and Training Sites (LBTTS) in order to support development and testing milestones. Investments include combat system upgrades, facility combat system infrastructure upgrades, and introduction of new AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) and AEGIS Combat System (ACS) capabilities. Investments will support development baselines (BL) to include BL5, CP 2022, CP 2024, BL 9.C3, BL10.0.1, BL 10.1, and BL 10M. The Land Based Test and Training Sites (LBTTS) include the Naval Surface Computing Center (NSCC), Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS), SPY-1A Test Facility (STF), Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC), and AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC). Combat System Test Bed (CSTB): Support the CSTB requirements to develop and maintain models required to support DDG Combat System development and integration efforts to improve the operational effectiveness and ensure future updates are pacing evolving threats. Specific areas of focus on FY27 will include the following milestones and efforts: CSTB Code Delivery #18 Q1 FY27 CSTB Code Delivery #19 Q2 FY27 CSTB Code Delivery #20 Q3 FY27 CSTB BL10.0.1 OT IAMD Run For Record #2 Q1 FY27 Continued Federate development and integration SM-2 BIIIC, SKCS/BAM, SM-3 Blk IB/IIA, SLQ-32(V)6, and Lethality Models. Continued Verification and Validation (V&V) SM-6 BI (AW), SPY-6(V)1, SLQ-32(V)6, SM-3 BI/IIA, ESSM Block 2, SM-3 Blk IB/IIA, CIWS, NULKA decoy, Interactive Threat models, and AAW/BMD Debris model capabilities. Conduct 3 Simulation Control Panel Readiness Reviews Boards and CSTB BL10.0 IT M&S Runs for Record. Integrated tested of BL10.0.1 continues to support ACB 20 NCD requirements. BL10.0.1 is executing the IOT&E campaign and is on track to support Operational Testing Q3FY26. BL10.1 will be executing System Requirement Review in March, followed by capabilities development. This baseline will host BMD/IAMD SBT Inc III capabilities, enhanced lethality and survivability, and sharper threat detection and engagement.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** The FY26 to FY27 decrease is due to the reduction of land-based test site hardware procurement and installation efforts associated with latest hardware procurement baselines required to support continuous integration being completed in FY26.
