## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** Spending will focus on prioritized operational needs—particularly through the development, modernization, and scaled production of enhanced, extended-range UxS capabilities. Investments will also expand the production of proven short- and medium- range UxS capabilities and strengthen the US drone industrial base by engaging capable vendors and driving deliberate growth for continual capability refinement. Spending will be leveraged to signal industry performance expectations and scalable production demands, facilitating large-scale acquisition of the most performant UxS platforms for INDOPACOM, stimulating industry participation, and posturing for continued scaled and accelerated execution and refinement in future fiscal years.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** The increase in FY 2027 is due to the establishment of the DAWG (in the discretionary budget) in support of autonomous systems procurement, domestic production capacity, and advanced capabilities.
