## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** Continue RAM GMWS integration efforts to support (1) RAM BLK 1A, 2, 2A and 2B into AEGIS BL9.C3.x to support RAM deployment on DDGs, (2) SSDS BL 12 Integration, Development Test (DT) and Operational Test (OT) events on Ship Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS) and Combat System Ship Qualification Test (CSSQT) and (3) SKIP model development efforts to support future RAM BLK 2C Combat System Integration and testbed efforts. Continue the RAM "Performance Lab" to collect, review and analyze real world data that can be inform the RAM SW Factory to expedite the delivery of fixes and improvements against evolving threats. Leverage Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to develop and analyze RAM raid performance curves and conduct experiments to verify the M&S indicating performance improvements are grounded in actual testing. FY 2027 will include a focus on concept exploration for future Software/Hardware development of the next generation of the RAM GMWS. Continue Software Factory efforts to (1) deliver RAM BLK 2B software performance updates incorporating improvements identified through trade studies, flight tests & real-world events and (2) begin transition of SKIP missile Software Baseline into Software Factory processes. Continue SKIP development to finalize weapon specifications and establish new RAM BLK 2C missile and launcher software baselines leveraging the new Uplink/Downlink hardware capabilities to provide continuous target data from the Combat System to in-flight RAMs. Finalize Uplink/Downlink receiver and antenna Proof of Manufacturing to support final system testing and hardware procurement. Complete GTV-2 development flight test, lab integration testing and risk reduction testing to validate the quality of design, inform software development, and conduct design reviews to support the release of the SKIP Engineering Change Package.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** FY 2026 to FY 2027 funding request has decreased by $0.805 million because SSDS BL12 integration efforts and the Stowed Kill Improvement Projects are nearing completion.

## Before the request year

**FY2026 plans — current year.** Continue integration efforts of the RAM Guided Missile Weapon System (GMWS) into the SSDS BL12 and Aegis Combat Systems which will provide full RAM Block 2B capabilities to the fleet. Integration efforts include RAM engineering support to review combat system architecture, documentation and design in addition to assisting combat system designers with their understanding and interpretation of the RAM Weapon Specifications and Guidelines for Effective Use. FY 2026 major effort is support SSDS BL 12 Integration, Development Test (DT) and Operational Test (OT) events on Ship Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS) and Combat System Ship Qualification Test (CSSQT) on lead ship. Support of AEGIS BL9.C3.x CS integration. Continue the RAM "Performance Lab" to provide quick turnaround raid performance curves which guide integration, tactics, and future investments decisions, including software improvement decisions. Continue to conduct experiments to verify the modeling and simulation indicating performance improvements are grounded in actual testing. The major efforts are a continuation of the analysis of backlogged Red Sea engagement data to inform software improvements for the RAM Software Factory and conduct a flight test with SW 7.10. The flight test will verify the performance improvements implemented and provide an opportunity for further learning. Continue Software Factory efforts to deliver software performance updates incorporating improvements identified through trade studies and flight tests. Develop and release two RAM Block 2B missile software updates SW 7.10 and SW 7.11. Continue SKIP development to update weapon specifications and guidelines of effective use to support design reviews. Continue development of missile and launcher software that leverages Uplink/Downlink hardware capabilities to provide in-flight RAMs with continuous target data. Finalize Uplink/Downlink receiver and antenna Proof of Design to support design reviews, testing and transition to Proof of Manufacturing Hardware procurement. Complete GTV-1 development flight test, lab integration testing and risk reduction testing to validate the quality of design, inform software development and support design reviews. Conduct Critical Design Review to demonstrate that system detailed design and test plans are complete, meet requirement and have acceptable risk. Begin planning for FY 2027 development flight test.
