## Summary

This activity requests $247.2M in FY2027, 69% of project A34, up 179% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** FY 2027 funding will continue efforts to support integration and testing of emerging C-sUAS capabilities to accelerate fielding decisions, such as IBCS-M development; NGCM design, development, integration, and test activities (e.g., Critical Design Review, Insensitive Munition/Environmental Testing, Safety Testing, and final Development Testing); C-sUAS non-kinetic effector modifications to improve reliability and payload capabilities, improving operational availability and increasing effectiveness against emerging threats; integration of NGCM and current C-sUAS effectors into a common launcher, increasing combat capability and flexibility for systems currently deployed; and radar software improvement (e.g., multiple simultaneous engagements), to keep pace with changes in enemy threats and tactics. Funding will also enable rapid prototyping, testing, and begin integration of the Unit Common capability onto Army platforms, supporting Developmental Test and Evaluation and Operational Test and Evaluation to assess performance, reliability, and suitability of new systems and technologies; and it will support execution of a Soldier Common systems competition to allow the Army to assess the latest C-sUAS solutions in the wearable and dismounted technology area.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** FY 2026 to FY 2027 funding increase supports the initiation and/or acceleration of multiple emerging efforts, such as KuRFS radar software improvements for multiple simultaneous engagements; continued development of IBCS-M; acceleration of NGCM, C-sUAS kinetic and non-kinetic effectors, and Unit and Soldier Common solutions.

## Before the request year

**FY2026 plans — current year.** FY 2026 funding will initiate efforts to address emerging capabilities, such as the NGCM, IBCS-M, C-sUAS kinetic and non-kinetic effectors, Unit Common mobile solutions, and Soldier Common handheld solutions. Funding will be used for integration and testing of emerging C-sUAS capabilities to accelerate fielding decisions.

## Funding

| Fiscal Year | Estimate Type | Amount ($M) |
|---|---|---|
| FY2026 | Enacted | 88.5 |
| FY2027 | Request | 247.2 |

> Prior, current and budget year only — an R-2A activity carries no five-year plan. It sums exactly into its project in the request year and not necessarily in any other.
