What the FY2027 request buys

FY 2027 funding will enable competition and evaluation of emerging technologies, such as Low Collateral Defeat (LCD) and alternate sensing solutions, to inform capability set fielding. Funding will support acquisition of additional test and evaluation legal documentation for both Rapid Acquisition Authority (RAA) deployment and Materiel Release and will provide data to support U.S Army Operational Evaluation Command (OEC) evaluation reporting, which aids in the development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) for C-sUAS systems.
FY 2026 to FY 2027 funding increase is due to FY 2027 being the initial year of funding for this effort.
