What project 6637 buys
As the Marine Corps' first Ground Based Anti-Ship Missile (GBASM) capability, the Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) is a force design priority central to the Marine Corps' contribution to the Naval Expeditionary Force's (NEF) surface warfare campaign. This project includes design, development, and tests of the NSM launcher, ROGUE-Fires carrier, Leader kit, Weapons Control System (WCS), and Command and Control (C2) connections to enable the transport and firing of NSMs. In FY 2026, NMESIS continued development, testing and integration of Common C4 Phase 2, M-CODE receivers, Weapon Control System (WCS), and Leader/Follower software improvements. In FY 2027, NMESIS will complete Common C4 Phase 2 and WCS improvements while continuing integration and testing of Common C4 Phase 2, M-CODE receivers, and Leader/Follower software improvements.

1 accomplishment / planned program
The R-2A exhibit — the only level of the budget that describes work that has not happened yet. Activities carry the prior, current and budget year only, no five-year plan. Coverage is partial across the corpus, so count activities, never total them.

Named performers on project 6637
Performers named in the R-3 exhibit under this project. Share is of the project's whole FY2027 R-3 total — the same denominator the program-element split uses, so the two read on one scale and will not sum to 100% when unnamed or government work is in the mix. Budget-justification contract funding, not obligations.
