## Summary

This activity requests $866.2M in FY2027, 65% of project 3334, up 75% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** - Continue modeling and simulation analysis to understand CPS WS capabilities and gaps in lethality, survivability, performance envelope, and CONOPS. - Continue systems engineering efforts for the assured performance, accuracy, integration, and compatibility of the CPS system and related systems by maintaining system-level requirements; refining interfaces between subsystems, launch platforms, and facilities; and refining policy/design tenets to ensure overall system performance and interoperability. - Continue upgrading the WS via TIs including establishing system and sub-system level requirements, and refining policy and program level design tenets to ensure overall system performance and interoperability. Continue refining with prime and all subcontractors the interfaces between and within the AUR, APM, Canister, and Weapon Control System and Launch platforms. - Continue digital engineering-focused systems engineering processes such as CONOPS development, requirements development and management, interface control, and verification and validation (V&V) for classified digital infrastructure for all relevant CPS design agents and stakeholders. Connect modeling and simulation, Single Shot Probability of Kill (SSPk) tool, physics-based models, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and software development efforts across the CPS enterprise to capture CPS weapon system logical, physical, and functional behavior in a digital environment. - Maintain government configuration management and control of the CPS weapon system, interfaces to external systems, and pull-through systems for future Technology Insertion. Initiate transition in the governance of future design changes for first time CPS WS fielding on Navy platform. - Execute schedule management, risk management, safety management, software engineering, program protection, cybersecurity, and quality assurance in support of FY 2027 activities and future CPS Program milestones. - Complete Government National Team (GNT) efforts to design, develop, fabricate, and test C-HGB and missile body flight articles for JFC-6. Continue GNT efforts to design, develop, fabricate, and test C-HGB and missile body flight articles for JFC-8 and JFC-9. Initiate design, development, and order long-lead material for JFC-10 test articles. Efforts focused on the development and integration of individual missile components including the C-HGB and the missile body, and on the overall integration of the missile into a weapon system. - Continue analytical support for thermo-structural, computational fluid dynamics, roll prescription analysis, modeling and simulation, and flight worthiness analysis. Also continue analytical support for a Design of Experiments to gain a physics-based understanding on constituent Glide Body TPS materials and processing to select cost-effective Glide Body TPS materials with reduced production times. - Continue fabrication of two TI-22 AURSIMs for assembly proofing, platform integration testing, and shock testing. - Deliver test assets for the Navy JFC-6 flight test. - Continue design and development of the TI-24 AURSIMs and continue efforts for assembly proofing and platform integration testing of TI-24 AURSIMs. - Complete the TI-22 AUR design effort through successful demonstration in flight. - Complete assembly, integration, and testing of the first three ZUMWALT-Class AUR+C assets. - Continue efforts to support expansion of industrial base capacity to prepare for increased AUR production. - Continue development and testing of motorized pin pullers. - Continue the design, development, fabrication, and testing of two ITVs to support Underwater Launch (UWL) testing. - Develop and deliver Canister Forward Closures (CFCs) to support JFC-6. - Continue design and development of SSN Canister Forward Closure. - Continue the development and begin delivery of TI-24 upgrades for hardware used in the engineering and validation of the TI-24 AUR, platform integration, and software development (e.g., PIL, HWIL, MIBs, and Test Lines). - Continue TI-24 glide body component qualification efforts. - Complete TI-24 CHGB design in lead up to the future TI-24 Prototype Glide Body flight test via MACH-TB. - Commence design, development and prototype of a maritime variant of the Box Erector Launcher System (BELS).

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** FY 2027 increase of $ $372.056 million supports the production of Missile Body and Glide Body spare components and long lead hardware to maintain higher throughput, as well as for the Electrical and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment for Glide body production and AUR Assembly, Integration, and Test, which will allow the CPS program to increase production to 24/year.
