## Summary

This activity requests $229.6M in FY2027, 17% of project 3334, up 126% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** - Execute JFC-5 flight test. T&E efforts support launch operations and test planning to include test equipment, assembly tooling, handling hardware, relevant subcomponent ground testing, pathfinder activities, and field activity support. Upon test completion, perform data collection and analysis. - Complete planning and execution JFC-6 flight test. T&E efforts support launch operations and test planning to include test equipment, assembly tooling, handling hardware, relevant subcomponent ground testing, pathfinder activities, and field activity support. Upon test completion, perform data collection and analysis. - Continue utilization of broad ocean area flight test data collection assets, supporting JFC-5 and JFC-6. Continue incremental upgrades of data collection assets to improve the ability to verify threshold lethality requirements during future testing. - Commence test planning and reviews for JFC-8 series. In advance of the test event, the T&E program will begin the test requirements analysis phase, followed by initial and detailed planning phases, an execution readiness review, and finally a mission readiness review to ensure aspects of the test are ready to support commencing test count down. - Complete Shock Test Planning (Grade B for the deployed elements of the CPS WS). - Continue procurement of Launcher test assets to support UWL testing. - Continue construction of UWL test facility and continue fabrication/installation of major UWL specialty equipment (outfitting). The facility is being constructed by NAVFAC under 10 USC 2353 authority. - Continue planning activities for UWL testing. - Execute ZUMWALT shakedown and demonstration. - Complete planning and execute Cyber Operational Testing (OT) on ZUMWALT in conjunction with JFC-6. - Continue IAL test activities at China Lake using developmental launcher in preparation for UWL test series.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** FY 2027 increase of $127.937 million supports the Underwater Launch Test Facility construction efforts, BELS efforts for ZUMALT and SSN integration risk reduction, and increased scope and cadence of flight testing, including the first CPS launch from a Navy platform.

## Before the request year

**FY2026 plans — current year.** - Complete development of the Box Launcher Test Asset based on learning from completed testing on the path to JFC-5 execution. - Continued test planning and reviews for JFC-5 flight test. In advance of the test event, the T&E program completed test requirements analysis phase, and has commenced initial and detailed planning phases, leading to an execution readiness review and finally a mission readiness review to ensure aspects of the test are ready to support commencing test count down. - Commenced test planning and reviews for JFC-6 series. In advance of the test event, the T&E program will begin the test requirements analysis phase, followed by initial and detailed planning phases, an execution readiness review, and finally a mission readiness review to ensure aspects of the test are ready to support commencing test count down. - Completed and approved program TEMP. - Completed the IM/HC test execution (execution and analysis) for the 40' vertical drop. - Commenced Shock Test Planning (Grade B for the deployed elements of the CPS WS). - Completed required Navy safety testing and analysis to support initial Navy fielding inclusive of E3 testing. - Executed warhead live fire testing for maturation and certification of lethality models supporting CPS fielding to Army and Navy platforms. - Commenced procurement of Launcher test assets to support UWL testing. - Continued construction of UWL test facility and continued fabrication/installation of major UWL specialty equipment (outfitting). The facility is being constructed by NAVFAC under 10 USC 2353 authority. - Continued planning activities for UWL testing. - Continued planning activities for ZUMWALT shakedown and demonstration. - Commenced planning for Cyber Operational Testing (OT) on ZUMWALT in conjunction with JFC-6. - Commenced IAL test activities at China Lake using developmental launcher in preparation for UWL test series. - Completed BELS 3 IAL test series of the KPX Valve, KPC Canister Spiral 4 Pads, updated Canister Closure Assembly (CCA) design, and Flight Termination System CONOPS in order to buy down risk for JFC-5 and JFC-6 flight tests.
