What the FY2027 request buys

Develop and mature prototype CEC system antenna waveform and communications technologies and architectures to be incorporated into future CEC system hardware including the Signal Data Processor and antenna. CEC system hardware modernization is required to provide increased waveform and communications technologies that support data rates necessary to meet CEC Increment 2 requirements in the CDD for CEC BLK III and beyond.
Increase is due to end of CEC BLK II efforts and transition from CEC BLK II to BLK III efforts. CEC Hardware Modernization efforts are required to support continued CEC Increment II capability development outlined in the CEC Increment II CDD as well as continued CEC system production and sustainment. In FY27 this includes completion and qualification of Engineering Development Models (EDM) and data packages for CEC Signal Data Processor (SDP)-008 and Planar Array Antenna Assembly (PAAA)-Advanced.
