FY2027 planned work

Continues FLRAA SO-p MEP engineering, integration, and demonstration necessary to support advanced avionics, advanced mission equipment, RFCM, TF/TA Sensor, EOIR sensor, and into the Army baseline design through digital integration with Digital Backbone. Completes software development to support SO-p MOSA and MBSE. Delivers and integrates software into System Integration Laboratory. Continues development of a SIL and integration of SOF mission equipment into the SOF FLRAA prototype digital backbone.

FY2026 to FY2027 change

Decrease of $6.035 million is due to completion of initial high-dollar, long-lead related hardware purchases for Systems in the Loop lab build.

Continue development of a System Integration Laboratory (SIL) and integration of SOF mission equipment into the SOF FLRAA prototype digital backbone. Continue FLRAA SO-p engineering, integration, and demonstration necessary to support advanced avionics, advanced mission equipment, Radio Frequency Counter Measure (RFCM), Terrain Following / Terrain Avoidance (TF/TA) Sensor, Electro-Optical Infrared Sensor (EOIR), and into the Army baseline design through digital integration with Digital Backbone. Continue software development and integration with the FLRAA Digital Backbone for select SOF-p sensors and weapons. Continue to incorporate modeling-based system engineering (MBSE) disciplines and expertise to enable quicker and more reliable SO-p MEP integration while providing future cost avoidance. Continue interoperability of modular open system approach (MOSA) based capabilities to enduring fleet for testing of SO-p MEP.

FY2025 accomplishments

Continue FLRAA SOF-p mission equipment package (MEP) engineering, integration, and demonstration necessary to support advanced avionics, advanced mission equipment, RFCM, TF/TA Sensor, Electro-Optical/ IR Radar, and LE into the Army baseline design by specifically designing space, weight and structure provisions to meet end-user requirements. Continues MOSA analysis into a common cockpit with Digital Backbone integrating SOF-p mission equipment and initiates software development for select SOF- p sensors and weapons. Develops interoperability of MOSA based capabilities to enduring fleet for testing of SOF-p mission equipment packages.
