## Summary

This activity requests $10.4M in FY2027, 100% of project 650008, down 55% on FY2026. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

## What the FY2027 request buys

**FY2027 planned work.** We are continuing to prioritize key efforts, including funding the operating baseline and furthering threat sharing initiatives for initial COMSATCOM, SDA, and critical commercial contracts. Our ongoing engagement includes maintaining participation in wargaming and exercises with approximately 15 commercial partners, alongside sustaining the CASR readiness and inspection program and providing relevant incentives. We remain committed to rapidly responding to and implementing the necessary system resiliency and situational awareness required to operate effectively within the contested space domain. This involves consistently leveraging commercial capabilities such as integrating alternate PNT constellations to build a more resilient architecture complementing GPS, demonstrating space superiority operations with on-orbit assets, combining payloads for multi-domain awareness on tactical space assets, and advancing commercial multi-domain awareness and cyber capabilities. Rapidly respond to implement system resiliency and situational awareness necessary to operate in the contested space domain. Activities may include, but are not limited to, program office support, studies, technical analysis, experimentation, risk reduction, prototyping, and activities that may leverage commercial, U.S. Government partnership, and international opportunities to respond to existing and emerging adversarial threats with speed and agility.

**FY2026 to FY2027 change.** FY27 reduced to exclude a 15.921M S8 one-time add for altPNT STRATFIs/TACFIs from and other commercial integration efforts from FY26. FY27 CASR Baseline increased to 10.427M from 7.75M due to increased participation from 10 to 15 commercial companies.

## Before the request year

**FY2026 plans — current year.** Fund operating baseline as well as threat sharing for initial COMSATCOM, SDA and key commercial contracts; wargaming/exercise participation for approximately 10 commercial participants; CASR readiness and inspection program; and incentives. Rapidly respond to implement system resiliency and situational awareness necessary to operate in the contested space domain. Leverages commercial capabilities to include integrating alternate PNT constellations enabling a more resilient PNT architecture to complement GPS, demonstrating space superiority operations with on-orbit assets, combining payloads for multi-domain aware-ness on tactical space assets, and advancing commercial multi-domain awareness and cyber capabilities.
