What project 625315 buys

This project executes mission-driven applied research to advance the critical technologies supporting Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), a core enabler of operational effectiveness across the Department of the Air Force (DAF). Activities under this project accelerate the development of next-generation capabilities to ensure time-dominant decision-making, enable synchronized multi-domain operations, and provide reliable, cyber-secure communications in contested environments. Additionally, these efforts advance high-speed computing and data analytics to support real-time intelligence processing and information fusion, which are essential to operational readiness and the successful implementation of Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2).

FY2026 to FY2027 change FY 2027 funding decreased compared to FY 2026 by $3.812 million due to re-prioritization to meet the nation's future security needs and completion of research towards developing a mobile ad-hoc quantum sensor network, in the area of extreme computing and quantum computing information sciences, advancing development of further reducing Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) of network node demonstrations, demonstrating quantum information processing on a single chip, quantum photonic integrated circuits for transmission/node operation, designs for network architecture and connectivity.
