FY2027 Request
$47.0M
◆ New start in FY2027
HitchAI read

This activity requests $47.0M in FY2027, 6.8% of project MD01 — a new start with no prior-year and no current-year money. The R-2A exhibit describes it across FY2026–FY2027, including what the FY2027 money is planned to buy.

New start

This activity requests $47.0M in FY2027 with no prior-year and no current-year funding. There is no incumbent line to compare it with — it did not exist before this President's Budget.

What the FY2027 request buys

Verbatim from the R-2A exhibit for project MD01 of PE 0603896C. This is the budget justification's own description of work that has not happened yet — the one thing no other level of the budget carries.

FY2027 planned work

- Advance the Integration of evolutionary JTMC-Bridge development for Missile Defense System-Next capability architectures. - Continue JTIFC acceleration efforts for Combat Identification (ID) / distributed JMAC (JTMC-B v2.0), Engagement Coordination ABMAs (JTMC Bridge v3.0) and EP (JTMC Bridge v4.0.) - Develop and approve JTMC Bridge Standard V3.0 Automated Battle Management Aid / Engagement Coordination. - Develop and approve JTMC Bridge Standard V4.0 Network Electronic Protections. - Develop JTIFC architecture capabilities for integration into Missile Defense System (JTMC Bridge Integration with C2BMC / BOA) and the LAD architectures in support of Missile Defense System-Next capabilities. Includes initial integration and testing. - Initial dJMAC software delivery and dJMAC demonstration with Advanced Threats in the LAD (Initial feature-based Combat ID integration.) - Mature prototype integration of space-based sensor data and AN/TPY-2 Forward Based radars into the LAD designs to include the initial demonstration of JTIFC LAD interface to AN/TPY-2 Forward Base Model. - Update and upgrade the JTIFC hardware-in-the-loop integration lab to support Missile Defense System-Next capability-specific rapid integration, evaluation and refinement of JTIFC capability implementations into Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems with virtualized tactical code representations of those systems (included integration with the Missile Defense System and LADs.) - Develop capability and technology enhancement opportunities for Missile Defense System-Next architecture through Integration of JTIFC Architecture capabilities. - Integrate and support JTIFC testing in the Missile Defense System-Next specific testing events. - Integrate Missile Defense System-Next capabilities epoch phased architectures into Nimble Fire testing environments. - Expand the LAD Architecture with the initial fielding of the JTMC Bridge supporting cross-service kill chains.

FY2026 to FY2027 change

The Increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 provides for the initial integration, demonstration, and fielding of JTIFC capabilities in Missile Defense System-Next architectures to include but not limited to C2BMC, BOA and LAD interface.

Before the request year

FY2026: the year under way

Prior-year accomplishments and current-year plans from the same exhibit. Context for the FY2027 plan, not a series — an activity partitions its project exactly in the request year, but can under-cover it in earlier years.

FY2026 plans — current year

- No funding is requested in FY 2026.

Money

Three years, and no five-year plan

An R-2A activity publishes the prior year, the current year and the budget year. The FYDP outyears exist at project and program-element level and are deliberately absent here rather than inferred. Estimate types are colored and never summed into one figure.

This activity is 6.8% of project MD01's FY2027 request and 5.0% of PE 0603896C's. In the request year the activities under a project sum to it exactly; in the current year they under-cover it in about 9% of cases, so an activity's delta can legitimately exceed its parent's and the two must not be compared row to row.
