What project 663321 buys

Electronic Warfare Ground Test Resources includes funding for the development and acquisition of live, virtual, and constructive threat systems that portray realistic Electronic Warfare threat environment across the entire electromagnetic spectrum during testing of weapons systems and may include Directed Energy Weapons. These funds are used for improvement and modernization (I&M) across the entire portfolio of ground test and test range capabilities used to evaluate aircraft and weapon system resilience/survivability against ever-evolving adversaries' asymmetric threats from Electronic Warfare/Cyber-attacks. Threats include resistance to jammers, Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility, GPS-denial, surface to air missiles, etc. in labs and open-air environments. I&M efforts are for Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) to include the National Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Facility (NRTF) and the Central Inertial and GPS Test Facility (CIGTF) at the 704th Test Group at Holloman AFB, NM, the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF) and the Joint Preflight Integration of Munitions and Electronic Systems (J-PRIMES) facility at Eglin AFB, FL, the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) and the Integrated Facility for Avionics System Test Facility (IFAST) at Edwards AFB, CA. Provides EW test process support, conducting requirements analyses and other studies in support of AF T&E investments in test infrastructure and capabilities. This program is in Budget Activity 6, RDT&E Management Support because this budget activity includes research, development, test and evaluation efforts and funds to sustain and/or modernize the installations or operations required for general research, development, test and evaluation.

Prior years are actuals, the budget year is the request, and the outyears are the FYDP plan. Estimate types are colored and never summed into one figure. Projects carry the full five-year plan; the activities inside them stop at the budget year.

The R-2A exhibit — the only level of the budget that describes work that has not happened yet. Activities carry the prior, current and budget year only, no five-year plan. Each describes FY2027 work in enough detail to have its own page; the rest are shown here in full. Coverage is partial across the corpus, so count activities, never total them.
