What the FY2027 request buys

Enterprise testing continues in FY 2027 using both ESSM Blk 1 and 2. WIT is planned on FORD and AMERICA class platforms, as well as backfit NIMITZ and WASP classes. Platform DT/OT continues, as well as an ESSM Blk 2 OT event on SDTS. ESSM Blk 2 IOT&E finishes on Arleigh Burke Class DDGs. Modeling and Simulation runs for the record are also planned to be executed and reported to Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR). Support for Aegis CP24 (TEMP 1669) and DDG Flt III testing continues in FY 2027.
Decrease of funding in FY 2027 amounts are caused by the procurement of targets in FY 2026.
FY2026: the year under way
Prior-year accomplishments and current-year plans from the same exhibit. Context for the FY2027 plan, not a series — an activity partitions its project exactly in the request year, but can under-cover it in earlier years.
Enterprise testing starts in FY26 using both ESSM Blk 1 and 2. Waterfront Integration Testing (WIT) will be planned and conducted on the Self Defense Test Ship, CVN 79, and LHA 8 (using the MK-29 Min Mod configuration) as well as DT/OT live fire events supporting both platform level and combat system level testing. Aegis BL 10 testing continues with multiple events. ESSM Blk 2 IOT&E Phase 2 begins on Arleigh Burke Class DDGs in FY26. Testing will include WIT and multiple live fire events on multiple platforms. A total of 14 targets, with modifications, to include range support will be procured to support these events and events in early FY 2027. Threat model development also occurs in FY26 to be included in lethality assessment required by DOT&E.
