Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)
This program supports the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), the comprehensive readiness reporting system for the Department of War mandated under Title 10 of U.S. Code. The system measures, in an objective, accurate, and timely manner, the capability of the armed forces to carry out the National Security Strategy prescribed by the President, as well as the defense planning guidance provided by the Secretary of War, and the NMS prescribed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. DRRS hosts information and applications used to support the Geographic and Functional Combatant Commanders, the Services, Combat Support Agencies, the Joint Staff and the Office of the Secretary of War. DRRS is the evolution of readiness reporting to a more comprehensive system, better able to meet the Department’s current and future readiness information challenges. Included in these challenges is the expansion in scope of the entities who can and do report readiness. FY2027 planned work • Continue integration into DRRS of new data sources and the creation of new functionality, made available through the integration of AI technology, necessary to support readiness reporting improvements, the capture strategic readiness metrics, and the functionality required by evolving DoW readiness reporting needs. • Begin implementation of the lines of effort for the R2S effort to field the capabilities for the near and long term future of the readiness reporting enterprise. • Complete implementation of the major policy updates from the new Department of War Manual for readiness reporting. • Refinement and consolidation of Service-specific input tools for improved performance within the…
