Initiate technology maturation and risk reduction efforts for new PNT Control segment in order to meet the modern threat environment and capitalize on advances in commercial technology; develop technical baseline to utilize open interfaces and MOSA to enable enduring, multi-vendor competition and plug-and-play development; achieve contract ATP; manage cost, schedule, and performance of numerous vendors for control segment development. Initiate efforts to mature technology for increased resiliency and availability across future GPS Segments (Ground, Space, and User Equipment). Rapidly respond to implement system resiliency and situational awareness necessary to operate in the contested space domain. Activities may include, but are not limited to program office support, studies, technical analysis, experimentation, risk reduction, prototyping, and activities that may leverage commercial, U.S. Government partnership, and international opportunities to respond to existing and emerging adversarial threats with speed and agility.
