Mobile Command Center Systems (MC2S)
MC2S is a mobile platform that provides Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) services to USNORTHCOM in support of its Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) mission. Additional details can be provided at a higher classification. Mobile Command Control Systems (MC2S) - funding enables the development of solutions for the emerging requirements necessary for continuous operations, maintenance and sustainment. Program RDT&E funding may be utilized to implement innovation insertion, capability insertion, software increments, spiral upgrades, modular component swaps, and other insertions consistent with Modular Open System Architecture. Program RDT&E funding may be utilized to design, develop, integrate, and test weapon system and/or component level open architectures. Program RDT&E funding may be utilized to fund the concept refinement, design, development, integration, and testing of interdependent technologies and common architectures that underpin weapon system and portfolio-wide mission outcomes. This program element included all necessary expenses required to manage, execute, and deliver weapon system capability. The use of such program funds would be in addition to the civilian pay expenses budgeted in program elements 0605829F, 0605831F, 0605833F, and 0605898F. . This program is in Budget Activity 7, Operational System Development because this budget activity includes development efforts to upgrade systems that have been fielded or have received approval for full rate production and anticipate production funding in the current or subsequent fiscal year.
FY2027 planned work MC2S will conduct 1-2 program development studies addressing two program 1067s and a high COCOM priority. Conduct studies on zero-power loss and automated start-up. The studies will drive a re-architecture of the platform requiring future development.
FY2026 to FY2027 change Decrease funding from FY2026 to FY2027 due to one time 3600 investment MC2S futures study.
FY2026 plans — current year MC2S will conduct a CAPE directed future study as a follow on to the NC3 Trade Space study.
