What the FY2027 request buys

- Deliver BMD 5.2.2 (Aegis BL 9.C3.2). - Commence 5.2.3 (Aegis BL BL9.C3.3), which includes close-range ballistic missile defense improvements to include updates to the Mission Planner. - Commence PAC-3 integration with BMD 5.2.4 (Aegis BL 9.C3.4), which includes system performance enhancements with close-range ballistic missiles, AN/SPY-1 radar resource optimization, mission planning, and operating in a denied environment. Perform modeling and simulation to support requirements development and initial design, code, integrate and test engineering functions in BMD 5.2.4. Support continued PAC-3 integration and development with BMD 5.2.5 (Aegis BL 9.C3.5).
Increase from FY 2026 to FY2027 provides for the delivery of the BMD 5.2.2 (Aegis BL 9.C3.2), commencement of the BMD 5.2.3 (Aegis BL BL9.C3.3) and commencement of PAC-3 integration with BMD 5.2.4 (Aegis BL 9.C3.4) in support of the U.S. Navy.
