Deliver BL 10.0.1 (BMD 6.0.1): - Finalize development and conduct Navy Combat System Certification Panel for Aegis BL 10.0.1 (BMD 6.0.1). - Support FTM-42 and operational test for Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and Operational Capacity List (OCL) determination. Continue Aegis BL 10.1 (BMD 6.1) software development incorporating SBT Increment 3. - Develop, test and deliver final planned incremental software load (IL 3.0) with SPY-6 software builds. - Conduct four (4) Software Interim Reviews. - Capability captures from BL 9 SBT Inc 3 include exo-regression and hypersonic tracking, EA/EP, Defended Area Protection, Organic, Raid, and SM-6 Dual II and Dual II Software update. Aegis BL 10M (BMD 6M) - Begin development of the Navy High Priority DDG Modernization 2.0 program, ensuring Missile Defense capability performance on Flight IIA DDGs upgraded with the AN/SPY-6(V)4 radar keeps pace with newest FLT III DDGs with SPY-6. - Funding provides for software updates, integration, test, and delivery of the 6M variant, integrated with the Navy's Aegis Baseline 10M variant. - This upgrade is planned for 27 DDGs. - If the BMD capability is not included 50% of the Aegis Fleet will not have BMD capability.
Increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 provides significant weapon system software development for Aegis BL 10.1 (BMD 6.1) and commencement of Aegis BL 10M (BMD 6M) including SBT Increment 3 capability with SPY-6 (V)6 and (V)4 radar variants in support of the U.S. Navy.
